Clean Carpets and Walls after Fire
Office Equipment Damaged by Soot
A fire had caused soot to cover all the cubicles and equipment in this office. Soot and smoke can be particularly bad for computers and other office equipment if not cleaned quickly.
The Computer Problem
These days all electronics have fans in them to keep them cool. During a fire the heat causes the fans to suck in smoke and try to expel the heated air. The smoke and soot will begin to cake motherboards and internal wires. However, that is not the real problem. The acid from the smoke will begin to pit and deteriorate the inside of electronics after 24hours of smoke damage.
